The games can then be downloaded via the Epic Launcher on your PC. Epic gives away two free games each week, so be sure to check back next week for what’s available.

Fallout 3 and Evoland Legendary Edition will be free next week on the Epic Games Store

During the Epic free games week of October 20 through October 27, players can snag both Evoland and Fallout 3 for free. Fallout 3 is one of the most beloved entries in the franchise.

In addition to Darkwood, this week’s free games are not shoddy either, as the game has been praised for offering a unique perspective on survival horror. A top-down camera brings an entirely new perspective to horror-survival games, which usually feature first-person or third-person cameras.

A player in Darkwood can freely explore the world by day but must find shelter at night and protect himself from the horrors of the night. It features no handholding, so the player has no quest markers to rely on. It is a unique horror experience that is right on-brand for Halloween, thanks to the challenging combat loop and the solid environmental horror.
